Little Cookies is an opportunity for pre-school children aged 3+ and a parent/carer to have fun with food together. You will learn about different foods and how to cook them. Each week there is a new theme which children will learn about through a cooking activity (which is the main focus), but also by craft activities and stories or songs. There is a good balance of savoury and sweet dishes and children will be learning a variety of techniques (e.g. creaming, sifting, rolling, whisking, peeling, kneading, chopping).
To encourage the tasting of new foods each child is issued with a Tasting Passport when they join. For every new food they taste (doesn’t matter if they like/dislike) they receive a sticker.
Children with allergies are catered for, and very welcome! We have adapted recipes for allergies to egg, nuts, fish and even dairy.
